The Medicare Drug Bill: An Impending Disaster for all Americans I'm not terribly happy about the prescription drug bill but a criticism that we can't afford even this meager level of support strikes me as mean spirited. Last time I checked congressional news, the US Congress and the Bush White House just gave away more than enough money to fund this and fund social security and medicare into the foreseeable future at more than adequate levels. And they gave that money to precisely the folk who already have enough to pay for their drug prescriptions. Yep, the wealthy. A bit of hypocrisy here.
