POLITICS -- ROVE CONTINUES TO POLITICIZE 9/11: Finding it hard to make a clean break from his past, Deputy White House Chief of Staff Karl Rove launched into a tirade of political attacks (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050623/ap_on_re_us/rove_speech) last night. "Liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers," Rove said Wednesday night. "Conservatives saw the savagery of 9/11 and the attacks and prepared for war." From holding the convention near the World Trade Center attacks (http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2004/03/02/ground_zero/) to allowing a picture of Bush on 9/11 to be used as a fundraising tool (http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2002/05/20020514-2.html) , Rove has shown no bounds to capitalizing on the suffering of thousands of American families. Perhaps Rove should spend less time figuring how to politically capitalize on 9/11 and actually focus his efforts on catching the key perpetrator (http://www.truthout.org/docs_04/101504W.shtml) of those horrendous attacks.
