Visited SMC Natick showroom, just came back.
Thursday is scratch and dent mark down day. Met and talked with the people in the electronics room.
Found out my old charge card has to be reapplied since another bank is the issuer now. Interest is 22+%-26+%; same as Compusa. Also found out that card reader can not accept my debit card. Debit card is nice for small purchases, the bank keeps a record that you don't have to mail any payments back. SMC should reprogram the card reader for debit cards. My name came up after 10 minutes on the first purchase. The next purchase the name came up right away. That means my name was retrieved from Tenn. headquarters. The receipt does not tell me, how much I saved any more.
Advice of densely packing the isle is taken; with small items on many, many tables. Looks very busy. Store is bright and clean. People are friendly but not overbearing.
Currently 75% off on X'mas "gift shop" gifts. 600% profit is now 20%, like all deep discount pricing. We hope the traffic can be build up, to at least double, soon. Which means, 10% senior citizen discount for one day a week, may just do the job.
