I simply don't know about Christie's health issues even given what you say. But he has at least two categories of very difficult problems to surmount to get the nomination. The first is the obvious one, pick up enough votes from the base. That's not going to be easy and will depend, obviously, on the other contenders. Which we don't yet know. Obviously, both Cruz and Rand Paul are heading in that direction. And several other governors. But who knows yet.

The second is all the "landmine" material that bothered the Romney campaign and led them to not selection him for the vp slot. At a minimum there is going to be a large number of 30 second attack ads. Since we don't really know the content of the charges, it's hard to say now. But all that looks to be a problem.

Well, and the third which fascinates lots of the media, is whether Christie's style will gain traction with national audiences.
