I wonder if TCI has a solution to this? In the future, if
Cable Modems gets big, there will be huge traffic. AT&T didn't
just spend $20-30billion(?) on TCI to run into a bottleneck.
Hopefully, the solution is some nice piece of hardware provided
by COMS.:-)


Yes this problem can be solved if you have a decent amount of fiber in your area. In my area, cable modems from one company are being SPED UP! from 600kbps to 3Mbps on the 17 of november. How?.. more fiber. The modems just tune to differnt frequency ranges. If your local copper loop is small enough (in terms of residences) you can get everyone on at 3Mbps (like the area I mentioned) and have the loop end equip handle it, pumping it all into the fiber.
