Vic, if I may, I'd like to take the liberty of trying to clarify your response to Stanley.
There is a clear distinction between 800# accounts and overall accounts. Also there is a clear distinction to be made between personal and corportate accounts.
On or about Dec 8th FNET 800 service went into service. Since that time there is approximately 800 to 1000 customers that have signed on. So Vic's estimate of approximately 1000 customers per month is an accurate projection up till now. What is not taken into account is that the 1000 per month was attained without any fanfare nor structured marketing campaign. Most have been through word of mouth. Vic also stated that "you ain't seen nothing yet", and that I feel is an understatement. There are strategic plans that have been undreway for about a month and are just now about to be unveiled. I would say that in the next few weeks, if not days, everyone will be made aware of the details. I don't know what they are, or who they include, but I do know that Frank is going out of town tomorrow and upon his return, we may be in for a revelation. I only say this because I have been bitching about not having access to him anymore. Today I spoke to him very briefly and all he would say was that the culmination of over a months worth of toil could be realized within days. He did not say where he was going, nor who he was meeting with, nor when he would be back, but you could sense his determination and knew that this was going to be one very important trip.
I don't know what Vic knows, nor a few other people on this board, but all the hints and innuendoes have a justified reason, in my opinion. I have had a ungoing dialogue with Franklin for over a year and a half, and I can tell you we are very close to something major.
I told Bobbie Z, just last week, that I may be doing him the biggest favor of his life, by having him stick around for a few more days, and I think he will tell you, that he's not dissappointed. Now I'm telling everyone, we have arrived at a crucial point in time. I have always contended that Mid February would be the target for good reason. But now I feel that there will be more than just validating evidence in the form of a earnings report, I think Frank has hit the Motherlode and is going to bring back the assay, so to speak, in the form of some big contract or alliance.
The MM's are also sensing the change in trading sentiment, via a new trading pattern (the lack of sellers). Also all the sales at $2.31 without any weakness in pirce, verified my suspicions that the short covering is underway. The MM's know that once it pops over $2.50 and clears $2.75 that there is no overhead. If news hits on top of no overhead, they know the game is over. I would not be surprised to see a gap up over $2.50 on the open tomorrow, and it also wouldn't surprise me to see the MM's make one last ditch attempt at holding it back. But as long as no one assists them by selling into any of their underhanded tactics, they will have no alternative but to let it run up, and we may even get lucky and have them try to cover their short positions.
The way I view it, that may happen, it may not, but the stage is set. Whether it happens tomorrow, the next day, or next week, I don't care, because I know the gig is up when the 2nd qtr report hits the newstands within weeks.
Whoops, I almost forgot, each of the 3 ISP's you can assume brought about 2000 accounts with them, of which were a percentage of corporate accounts. Also when I spoke to Frank regarding the installation of bringing the full capacity of the OC3 cable on line, he clearly stated that he had clients standing in line, awaiting the completiton. He stated that he had to inform them that they would have to wait up to 3 weeks before he could accomodate anymore new customers of size. A OC3 cable will accomodate approx. 21,000 customers and it is expected to be up to full running order by mid to late Feb.
If you take the 6000 or so local ISP accounts, and add the 1000 or so 800# accounts. Consider a rate of 1000 new customers per month at the present time. Plus any large accounts that may be standing in the wings, I don't think 20000 customers is out of the realm of possibility. Also consider all the hustle bustle that has been taking place over the past month, and I'd say it is very probable to see some major announcement that could dwarf even those frothy projections. All that, and throw in the equipment sales to support it, and you have a vein to the Motherlode.
