On the Chip Merchant, K6-233 prices goes up and the chip is in very limited supply. The price of the lower speed grades has gone down in the last two days.

So far The Chip Merchant has provided a much better indicator of AMD's fortunes than has management.

Hard to say how the market will take this news. Clearly demand is there. Management credibility is at an all time low. If at the beginning of September they knew they were going to lose money, then it stands to reason that they were likely to lose more than a few pennies a share. So in a way there isn't much news here. The market will most likely punish AMD nevertheless.
