I am beginning to think the only answer is to speed the destruction of our government. The people have discovered they have the keys to the treasury and have no intention of relinquishing them.

The prospect of a saving Balanced Budget Constitutional Amendment seems remote at best. Therefore let the Union dissolve and split into the middle states and however many coastal profligate states that want to organize.
