"Apple is not commenting on online sales numbers, but some analysts
are saying Apple is selling at least $1 million a day online"

Actually AppleStore still accounts for a very small portion of Apple's total revenue. The "retail" AppleStore brings in about 1.5% of overall revenue. I have the numbers stashed away somewhere. They came from Apple IR so should be pretty reliable.

If one were to add AppleStore for Education the figure is significantly higher. But since Apple was selling to educational institutions directly even before AppleStore opened, it is the retail side of AppleStore that is results in most of the sequential improvement in margin.

A recent article quoted Mitch Mandich as saying that AppleStore accounts for nearly 10% of sales in the US. I believe the reason for this inconsistency is because Mitch was combining the AppleStore for Edu and Retail, and for US only rather than global.

By the way, I've updated the AAPL Statistics page. Specifically I updated the PE ratio chart and valuation comparison of major computer manufacturers.
