Democrats Trying to Prevent Soldiers From Casting Ballots By Texas Rainmaker on Elections Maybe this is just another “botched joke”… <<< A New Jersey congressman raised questions Thursday about a new military voting program that lets service members request and submit their ballots by fax or e-mail. >>> The congressman in question is… wait, here comes the punchline… a DEMOCRAT! Dun dun dun… Despite the fact that the Defense Department has said it has taken every precaution to protect the identities of the soldiers voting (and warned them of any potential risks so they could opt to use another method of casting a ballot), Democratic Rep. Rush Holt has raised an 11th hour challenge to try and prevent military members from using the new system to cast ballots. Of course, to Democrats, challenging the military vote comes as routine as disparaging the military itself. The reason is obvious.
