Rick I think you're right about microsoft products being the "target of choice" due to their widespread use. Some sort of hardware firewall is an essential tool for the security minded person. I don't know anything about routers but Nick seems to know quite a bit about these machines so I would certainly assume he knows what he is talking about. (I know you weren't questioning that but written words can be interpreted many ways <gg>) I don't guess many of us are as security conscious as we should be and will only learn after being broken into and having something we need destroyed or stolen. Hopefully, it won't happen to anyone around here. tc
