10:01 ET Global Power Equip (GEG) 29.51 +9.51: -- Update -- IPO opens for trading at $29.50, after pricing at $20.




09:53 ET Merrill Lynch (MER) 66.33 -2.53 (-3.7%): -- Update -- According to traders, Dow Jones reporting that company has increased the size of its convertible offering to $2 bln from $750 mln; as of yet, no confirmation from Merrill Lynch on this report.




09:52 ET Dell Computer (DELL) 25.08 -0.80 (-3.1%) : -- Update -- Technical -- Breaks back below its 50 day simple ma (2560) in the wake of the negative guidance. However, still holding above a trendline off the Dec/March 2000 lows at 24.50. While penetrated on an intraday basis over the last two months, the key is that it has held firm on a closing basis. Short term, a recovery back through its moving average and 25.90 will help neutralize the current negativity.
