Its amazing to me that with all their financial clout the quality of some of these fortune 500 companies decision making has been so consistently poor. I dont see how gm survives without reorganizing a. looks like the auto supplier union are going to strike, gm is going to lose billions, wagonner gets a golden parachute and gm probably files, the bondholders end up with ownership and then gm revives with much lower contract labor. of course shareholder equity has been wiped out and the midwest gets plunged into recession or worst. there will probably be lots of unhappy retirees too. just a speculation on my part.
