[North Vancouver]

<<<Approximately 28,000 upscale residences whose values
exceeds $300,000. Looks like half of those 50,000 lines mentioned
in Soundview's? report, will be deployed right here. If that's
so, Amati's got to ramp up soon or the October date doesn't get
met. I see a positive earnings report for quarter ending Oct'97
if Amati ships on schedule.>>>

Think I could afford a second home in North Vancouver? A cottage on the Bay? What a tempting thought!

I figure with a computer and an international airport within a half-hour's drive, it doesn't matter where you live --- so it might as well be beautiful and have high-speed internet service. :))

As for ramp-up, if systems are shipped, can they be figured in that quarter's report? If so, I would imagine you might be right. The unknown is the cost of ramp-up. I'm watching for contracts more than positive earnings as an indication of where Amati stands over the next couple quarters.

I also believe the bankers handling Amati's financial future will be able to give us an indication of their value over the next few weeks. Not that they're going to come out and tell us, but I think as decisions are made, the shareholders will be alerted in one way or another. Now, if we just had spies inside the board rooms of a few of the companies kicking the tires, we'd get a sneak preview.

I hope you're smiling.

Cheers!

Pat
