SANTA CLARA, Calif., Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Integrated Telecom Express, Inc. (ITeX) today
announced that Intel Corporation has made an equity investment in the company. Financial details
were not disclosed.

ITeX has been working together with Intel to ensure interoperability between ITeX's host-based
Scalable ADSL Modem (SAM) technology and Intel's high-performance processors.

According to Young Liu, President and CEO of ITeX, "Our goal is to take advantage of increasing
microprocessor performance to create affordable, next generation digital modems designed to
greatly improve the Internet access experience for home and small office users."

Ali Sarabi, director of Intel's Broadband and IP Telephony Lab, said, "ITeX's commitment to the
G.lite standard and their approach to ADSL chipset development is complementary to our efforts
to help accelerate copper wire broadband deployment."
