Sam :

I was praying for you last night at the altar at church. Don't you love serving a contemporary and an ancient God,all at the same time. The thoughts of the wooden ark kept flooding my soul, the wooden cross, the wood that Isaac carried to his own sacrifice, the wooden ship that was almost engulfed in the Sea when Peter walked on water, the wooden ship that carried Paul on his journeys, Noah's wooden ark; then the motion picture the Perfect Storm began crossing my mind as Christ started talking to me.

He said to tell you ( and I know that it was meant for me as well ).The sea of life is a sea of difficulty, torment, sin, unrighteousness, failure, disappointment, but my son do not concentrate on the sea. To drink of the ocean means death. The winds shall blow , do not focus on the wind. In the storms a rudder is useless, you are at the mercy of the waves. But who is it that controls the winds and the waves, who is it that speaks peace to the winds and waves, who laid the foundations of the earth, and called forth the continents from out of the ocean depths.
Sam, would a ships captain curse a sailor or passenger that fell over board in the midst of a storm; nay nay but to save them he would himself cast into the sea.
Would a ships captain curse a sailor thrown into the waves and wind of the storm; it is part of the crossing. And for those that fall overboard would not the captain throw a piece of wood overboard to hang onto to save them. The cross becomes that piece of wood thrown overboard to save those adrift in the ocean , and to save those once upon the ship but found cast into the sea again..
The ship may be made out of wood, but it is a sturdy ship able to weather the Perfect Storm........The Perfect storm was a confluence of three factors a low pressure system, a hurricane, and a cold front.........but also God is a confluence of three the Father , the Son, the Holy Ghost.

Often times the enemy will conspire to bring influences together for our demise and even once in a while we face the insurmountable but the Ship sails on, we have a knowledgeable captain, a sturdy ship, and God in control of the winds and waves. Yes we are safe in the masters hands. He will still the most powerful storms , an able captain..praise to his name , I have had many crossings , many fearsome storms , but the ship I am on is a worthy vessel..Praise be to His name, Sam you are on the same ship, not as many crossings but I know what this ship will do, and weather the storms of life IT WILL.........Amen.
