Hi Jim,
cold enough for you? Did you say you were in Okla? I was born in Altus, but I remember camping at Lake Tenkiller in eastern Okla.GREAT place.
((The only thing Peter was doing at the request of the Lord, was taking the message of Salvation to the Gentiles. ))
What message?
((The grace doctrine was given specifically to Paul over a period of 25 years by revelation from God.))
Acts 9: 15 But the Lord said to Ananias, "Go! This man is my chosen instrument to carry my name before the Gentiles and their kings and before the people of Israel. if Paul is preaching something different then why in the world would God send him to the people of Israel also?
16 I will show him how much he must suffer for my name." 17 Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord--Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here--has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit." 18 Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul's eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized, 19 and after taking some food, he regained his strength. Saul spent several days with the disciples in Damascus. 20 At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God.
I am not sure what you are saying, but either way it does not seem so by reading Acts 9. Paul spent several days in Damascus and then immediately started preaching the "good news" . God did not take 25 years to reveal this to him, imho. And if you are saying God revealed to Paul AS he preached well that could be so, but Paul preached the "good news" immediately and with power according to Acts. |
