Dave, not reading daily these days, catching up. I'm still bullish, the problem with many posts back and forth is you have to catch and than recall where a particular poster is coming from. You know I am a long term oriented buy and hold type- most posters seem to be traders or investors with itchy trigger fingers.
My retort to Skeets was tongue in cheek cuz in the time it took me to get back to him amat went down >20 pts. so I jokingly said obviously amat was overvalued. In a followup serious post, I said that i would not recommend an ENTRY point at a P/E of 50 (unless that person was sure he coulfd never get in lower). The long term perspective I employ is intact. I believe the >40% AVERAGE( through thick and thin, boom and bust) price appreciation return realized over 15 years will continue going forward, to some good degree. >40%?? Maybe not quite as high, although not impossible.
