Before I log-off, another good trick to get cats to take pills is to coat them in butter then put them in the freezer until ready to use. WHether a cat likes pills or not, he/she can't spit it out--it literally slides down the throat.

I can not take credit for this useful little trick. My sister came up with it a few years ago for her cat that had to take pills twice a day [for the rest of its life].
