Those were the tactics Sen. Durbin was comparing to Nazi concentration camps and Soviet gulags. He never bothered to mention any of your more serious accusations such as electroshock, beatings, feces, etc. Why is that? Shouldn't he have chosen some of the more serious forms of torture to illustrate his point?

Beating a man to death or using electroshock is very comparable to what the Nazis did; to what Saddam did. Now its very unlikely American soldiers are torturing in the numbers done by the Nazis or Saddam did. Their numbers were huge.

So were the actions of the Nazis horrific because of the numbers involved, or because of the lethalness of the acts perpetrated? If its the former, than American soldiers do not compare with the Nazis; if its the latter, than they do.

I recommend that you pick the former.
