WC: Hmmm-Why then didn't IBM like any reasonable customer who had an equally good if not better product tell MSFT that the price was too high and go with their own? IBM had already shown themselves to be a dishonest customer (cheating on royalties)so why shouldn't they pay a premium as a deadbeat ought to? What kind of a nit wit would let the smaller MSFT push IBM around if indeed they had a saleable O/S? Fact is IBM had no confidence in their ability to sell the product and sought MSFT as the scapegoat for their incompetence. Fact is IBM did none of the things that are in Mr. Norris notes except pay more for a system that you claim they didn't have to buy as their O/S was every bit as good.Fact is none of the threats that Mr. Norris claimed were made by MSFT ever came to fruition. Fact is this whole case is being tried on woulda and coulda but not the facts as they exist. JFD
