AXC holds many patents relating to digital tv and associated technologies. Many of these are going to be vital for digital tv. Therefore, others other either going to have to develop their own propietary technology (very expensive) OR come knocking on AXC's door. This is the message I've bee trying to convey : AXC is alot more than keepering. I was told Branson siad this himself at the annual meeting: "I would hate for Ampex to be known as the Keepering Company. Ampex is much more than that." They hold over 350 current patents and are continuing to work on others.
