No Change In Novell's Russian Strategy, Despite Economy

MOSCOW, RUSSIA, 1998 SEP 30 (NB) -- By InfoArt. Despite the economic
problems in Russia at the moment, Novell [NASDAQ:NOVL] has announced
it is not changing its business strategy in the country. Like
Microsoft [NASDAQ@MSFT], it has committed to maintaining, as far as
possible, its program of events and partner arrangements for the
immediate future.

Coming as it does against a backdrop of economic malaise in Russia and
the Commonwealth, Novell's positive approach is being appreciated by
its customers, many of who were disappointed when Novell postponed its
Brainshare '98 recently.

Novell says, however, that the decision to postpone the event is the
only one affecting its current event calendar.
