Dan, Yes, I have mentioned this book several ties as I find it very interesting. I hae never said that this is emphatically the way it is, or that others should believe it. In fact, I have gone out of my way to make sure that people understand that I am doing no such thing.
I certainly "hawk" it far less than others on this thread "hawk" a certain other book:-)
The point I was making in my previous post, was that it is impossible for shalom to know my, or the authors sincerity, or what happens when we feel like we are "conversing" with god. Not unless he is there, and in our minds. We can only be relatively positive about what is happening in our minds. to emphatically state what is happening in someone else's is a relatively hard thing to do.
<<I would venture to say you do not know where this guys mind or heart is, correct? >>
I would venture to say that I do know what is my mind and heart. As for the author of the book, I have only said that I like a lot of the ideas and principles presented within it, am intrigued by most of it, and disagree with some aspects of it.
<<What would be better to discern, God's will for you or another man's will for God?>>
Sorry my friend, I am not sure what you mean here.
