I agree with the link to that post. The Fed has studied the deflationary history of Japan and I believe this new type of intervention is a direct result of that study. Hope they have sufficient money<g> to buy the longer term treasuries in order to make a dent in the market, otherwise it won't work. Hope they are early enough to the party instead of too late. When this economy turns around you can bet your bippy that inflation will be right around the corner. That would make the Fed let out a huge sigh of relief and make them extremely happy<gg>!
