I guess my point was, when my kids became too old to be on our policy, we just got a policy for them individually which we paid for until such time as they could pay their own way. The cost wasn't any more than what we were already out (i.e., the cost of our family policy went down by an equivalent amount).

I just don't see how this is really a major feature.
