Saw an article in the paper yesterday. During our last cold spell several coves had about 2" of ice form. Problem was it was covered with snow and insulated. A few guys tried ice fishing last week. Some drilled holes and got off when they saw how thin it was. Others got to experience what it was like to be standing in waist deep 33 degree water.
