Mephisto, There are conflicting views on inflation. We'll see what happens. I'm closing out my Seligman fund account, and moving my IRA to a trading account, probably Lombard. Perhaps I'm just feeling extra bearish because that money is temporarily in transit, and out of tech stocks! Interior Alaska, north of the Alaska Range (Mt. McKinley etc) is dry and hot in the summer. Vast fires started by frequent lightning often burn unchecked for weeks. Here in coastal Alaska, fires are usually less severe. But there was very little snow this winter, and things are drier than usual. Earlier this week, we had 16% humidity, and 40 mph winds -- a real tinderbox!
