hello alan...yours seems like a reasonable approach to some discussion...so ill respond in kind...it is healthy to have a difference of opinion and be able to talk about it...your questions here are logical, easy to see they need asking, and respectfully presented...
i will give you my opinion...it is what i believe...it is not an attempt to talk you into anything or to hype the company...it is just my opinion...i presume this is what you are asking for...should you not agree with a single thing i say here, ok...no loss of dignity of either is required...

is it too much to ask for a bit of official reinforcement once in a while...is there anything wrong with telling somebody a little something once in a while...is he not aware how bad it makes him look when time and time and time again things do not happen the way we have been told, by them, that they would happen....i do not mean small delay here and there, i mean months of delay in some instances,
without plausible explanation...
and i am not just speaking about belize when i say months of delay...there is also the i.t. commercials...the press saying anything about the shareholders meeting and the decisions and actions
taken then...the financial reporting...here are at least four, important, things that are still not available, but have been promised for months...yet...no explanation...and nothing really tangible that anybody can lay a finger on to say, look at this...this is what we are...in actuality, are we anything at all...
this is not good...sooner, or later, somebody has got to do something...i personally dont think any of this is too much to ask...i would ask him myself, but i do not have the open door it would take to do it...

comment...this email was very well received and agreed to by almost every member who read it...there was an extreme amount of discussion concerning all of the contents of it, and this email of mine was forwarded to john schmits that very afternoon...this was on the 19th day of november, 1998...
if any person doubts the content of this post, there are many who will remember reading it, and they will vouch for what i am telling you here about it...it is now, as it was then, with the edits as noted...
never again will i entertain the notion by anyone that we "longs" do not have minds of our own, and that we will not have the "balls" to ask the hard questions, or to address the uncomfortable realities...
