Zeev; For the most reliable details about the electro-plating process I suggest you call Matt at Naxos. As I posted he is presently at Ledoux demonstrating the process. I will give you my rudimentary and unscientific rendition of the process. I understand that the Naxos ore undergoes a multi-stage operation. The primary stages treat the ore using Dr. Groves thiosulphate and other steps to bring the ore to a precipitate form. How to get the metal out of this stage has always been the tough problem. Recently, Groves and associates have found that using some very available electro-plating methods the gold plates out of the precipitate at certain low voltage. The other metals are not as easy or they have not concerned themselves with PGMs right now. Apparently the process is straightforward enough that their IR man Matt Walters can demonstrate the plating to Ledoux. After the gold is removed the other metals are collected in a 'slime' or sludge form and can be shipped for refining, for now. Zeev, I've heard many people have seen this plating process and I believe it will prove economical enough to get Naxos producing gold very soon. But that's just my opinion. When you understand this process better please give us your opinion. George
