The cable modems installed in Vancouver (by Rogers Communications) are done by two individuals. One guy does the work, while the other is in a suite and teaches you the systems etc. They don't leave until it works, and you know how to use it. I'm not sure how long the original installation takes, but I don't think that it would be more than an hour or two. Cheers, Kent
