All Erection & Crane rental Corp. orders more than
$20 million worth of cranes from Manitowoc Cranes,
Inc.

Munich, Germany... All Erection & Crane rental Corp.,
Cleveland, Ohio, USA, has ordered more than $20
million worth of lattice-boom crawler cranes from
Manitowoc Cranes, Inc., Manitowoc, Wisconsin, USA.
The order was placed through Crane & Shovel Sales,
Corp., Cleveland, Ohio, USA, Manitowoc's distributor
serving Ohio.

Highlighting the order are two Model 21000's, complete
with MAX-ERT and luffing-jib attachments. it also
includes an undisclosed number of Model 888 cranes
and luffing-jib attachments. The Model 21000 is a new
Manitowoc lattice-boom crawler crane that offers
600-metric-ton capacity, 800 metric-ton capacitiy with
MAX-ERT attachment, and a luffing jib attachment.

Manitowoc's Vice-President of Sales & marketing, Ron
Schad, announced the purchase at the Bauma trade
show in Munich, Germany.

In the announcement, Schad said, "The 21000 offers
customer-requested features unavailable in other
high-capacity cranes, such as unsurpassed
transportability, minimal ground support requirements,
and the ability to mobilize in tight jobsites. The 21000's
unique crawler design features four dual-track modules
that use proven components from the M-250 and 2250.
The design evenly distributes crane lift reactions into
each dual-track module. The dual-track modules have a
transport weight of less than 40 metric tons."

Jack Swan, of All Erection, commented, "Manitowoc
has been the inovator in the crane industry ever since
introducing the M-250 in 1992. All Erection purchased
several M-250's as soon as the model was introduced,
and those units have been excellent for our customers
and us. We are certain the 21000 will deliver the capacity
and the performance to meet our customers' growing
needs."

Manitowoc will ship the first 21000 early in 1999. It is
Manitowoc's sixth major crane development since
Bauma '95. Those developments include: the
209-metric-ton Model 888; the 600-metric-ton
RINGERr for the 888; the 160-metric-ton Model 777
truckcrane.

Schad concluded, "Manitowoc will continue to drive the
mobile crane market by developing reliable
customer-focused products that offer outstanding
performance and value.
