Talked with individuals in my co's freight services division and they said Freuhauf made an excellent trailer in their time. They used to have a big tank trailer plant here in Omaha. Wabash apparently makes a "low cost" trailer designed and constructed for large fleet companies. JB Hunt and Schneider run Wabash van trailers and piggy backs in their fleets. Navistar has a similar market plan in that it sells its "no-frills" trucks into the fleet market. Navistar purchased the truck division of Int. Harvester years ago and had overnite success simply by focusing on the large fleet co's. Int Harvester was trying to appeal to the owner/operators and could not compete with the fancier Kenworth's, Peterbilts, etc.
