Good question.. I just find it hard to believe that he would get into a technology company. I know Bill Gates and Warren are friends - BUT Warren likes to buy stocks that he can understand.. Do you think he understands technology (Novell)... I think he likes to keep it simple..

He likes the Benjamin Graham approach: buy companies that are undervalued. Is Novell trading under book value?

You may be correct. I think there is some great value here with Novell.. Buffett usually likes to buy insurance companies, banks, Kirby vaccuum cleaners, newspapers.... etc.. Why would he go into a technology company... Is Novell the best in its field? Does it have excellent management.. These are the questions I would be asking if I were Buffett..

I would think that anyone interested in Novell would have to be a company in the same industry sector..

Where do you get the idea that Berkshire Hathaway would be interested in Novell?
