Dara... I wouldn't go suggesting Americans open a Bank account in Canada... Please read about FATCA... in Switzerland, they are already shutting out US Citizens to any banking... If Canada signs...likely the same... If you don't know what FATCA is... everyone should...It is the USA's overreach into global banking... fullcomment.nationalpost.com "More damagingly, spooked foreign financial institutions are refusing to accept Americans living abroad as customers.
