Rhetorical, I know you know this.

Liberals have always been a minority in the Democratic party. It is not so noticeable as all liberals are Dems, or green, etc. None are pubs. Minorities are conservative to moderate mostly.

That Kentucky survey is interesting too. 52% of the respondents identify as Democrats, but only 23% of them identify as either "Very liberal" or "Somewhat liberal."
