Allow me to kind of weigh in here. I recall back in 2001 when this happened I was really HOT. I wanted to spark up Iraq and virtually any middle east country that I felt needed an ass kicking. At the time I felt we had world approval to do as we wanted - and we did. Afghanistan was done well but we didn't get OBL. I was also fine going into Iraq even though I didn't think they had nukes. We know they have bios to some capacity but that doesn't matter. I didn't view them as a threat OTHER THAN they could give information to terrorists on how to create WMD's. Its been 3 years since we had an attack here and I'm not sure if we've disrupted their network or if they're laying in the weeds....I just don't know. Maybe a little of both. In any event, the one problem I see is we used our "get out of jail free" card on Iraq. Now Iran is an issue and Syria is pumping thugs into Iraq. I want to thumb our nose at the world and go in and lay waste to those countries but we just can't do it because of the global disapproval of Iraq. Now I'm not saying the Globe is correct - I merely point out the obvious even if it is wrong. So here we stand and Iran is building towards a nuke and some little puke country like Syria is having an impact and killing our kids - that sucks! We need to get things settled down in Iraq like yesterday. We need to tell the Syrian government that if one more person crosses the boarder we'll bomb them, via air, into the stone age and we need to focus on Iran. If Iran doesn't comply with global requests we need to launch missiles and destroy their ability to make nuclear energy and enrich uranium. Its just that simple. But I go back and say that we used that "get out of jail free" card on Iraq and I supported it. I wonder now if I was 100% right in my thinking.

Just a thought
