I agreed totally, the Instant Message is one of the best ideas of all-time. Due to a divorce,I use this daily to communicate with my children. Another good program to look at is Dragon Point & Speak. It's a speech recognition program that is easy to use and only fifty dollars. Point and speak takes about one hour to set up and works well with SI and IM's. It even spells words that I never could. Now, I will go back to lurking.
