Pathetic? ... I agree. But get used to it.

Consider the following logic:
.. the official 3G definition is generally accepted to be that of IMT2000 of the ITU,
.. IMT2000 defined 5 RTTs including MC-CDMA,
.. MC (multi-carrier) CDMA is CDMA2000 3x, and
.. CDMA2000 1x *is not* CDMA2000 3x.

So .. IMHO the anti QCOM and pro W-CDMA will use the above crutch until IMT2000 is revised or Qualcomm implements 3x. I'm not holding my breath for either.
