(COMTEX) B: The Broadcast Web Network and Sonicbox Enter Agreement To B: The Broadcast Web Network and Sonicbox Enter Agreement To Syndicate Web Radio Through Revolutionary New Product The Sonicbox imBand Tuner BOCA RATON, Fla., Feb 1, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- International Internet, Inc. (OTC:IINN) announced Tuesday that the Broadcast Network, Inc., a subsidiary of International Internet has entered into an agreement to syndicate the Company's Web radio stations on the Sonicbox(TM) imBand(TM) Tuner. Sonicbox Tuners dramatically expand the audience for Web stations by 'unchaining' the listener from the PC and allowing them to listen to their favorite programs on any FM receiver. Sonicbox was recently selected by Bill Gates as a showcase product for his keynote address at Media West Streaming. Sonicbox imBand Tuning is a combination of hardware, software and services which benefits listeners and stations alike. Listeners use imBand Tuning to find stations from across the globe, add their favorite stations and playlists, find out more about the music they're listening to, purchase CD's and provide stations with feedback. Stations on the imBand Tuner reach their target audience and derive revenue from broadband streams through targeted ad insertion, such as 'Tell Me More' 'e-commerce' ,and 'Smile/Frown' interactive marketing. First deployed in the Sonicbox imBand Remote Tuner announced in October, imBand Tuning unlocks Web audio from the computer and makes it accessible throughout the home through any FM receiver. The Sonicbox imBand Remote Tuner is a PC add-on that lets consumers with a broadband Internet connection enjoy a wide variety of Web radio programming anywhere in their home through standard FM receivers. Consisting of two parts, the Tuner has a base-unit that connects to the PC and a remote tuner that stays with the listener. The base-unit transmits Web audio on an unused frequency to FM radios around your home and receives commands from the remote tuner. The remote tuner allows the listener to select from hundreds of stations with the turn of a knob and purchase CDs with the push of a button. Sonicbox is currently running a trial deployment of Sonicbox imBand Remote Tuners with general availability in the first quarter of 2000 for less than $50. Sonicbox imBand Tuners represent a major shift in Web radio. Until now, Web radio stations have primarily targeted listeners at work and neglected listeners at home. With the advent of inexpensive DSL and cable broadband connections for the home, Sonicbox imBand Tuners dramatically expand the audience for Web radio stations by 'unchaining' the listener from the home PC and allowing them to listen to their favorite music and programming in the kitchen, garage and living room. About Sonicbox, Inc.: Sonicbox is changing the face of radio. Sonicbox(TM) imBand(TM) Tuning makes listening to Internet radio as easy as tuning your FM dial.
