Hi Bill,

While you're waiting for "a new product to handle e-mail spam," I suggest you try Mailwasher. It's donation ware, so you can test it for as long as you want, then if you decide you like it you can either register it or just continue using it for free. I've been using it for about six months, and the amount of spam I receive has been reduced significantly. The author, Nick Bolton, is continuously adding new features, and if you register you will be automatically notified of any updates.
