Rep. Bartlett will be giving another Peak Oil related presentation to the US Congress this month. The most likely times are in the evening of Monday April 11th or Thursday April 14th. The exact time may be known on Friday. The speech will be more solutions orientated.

The last speech was held in a special night session of Congress with very little attendance. The speech received almost no mainstream media coverage. However US residents can now approach their congressperson and ask them what they think we should do about the matters raised in the Congressional record, March 14, Items 54 and 55.

Energy Bulletin contributor Greg Thornwall who has been liaising with Bartlett's office suggests:

"I wonder if you could add a note to readers (at least for the folks in the US) to call their Congressman and tell them they should go to the presentation/debate. Also writing a letter to their editor of their local papers about the talk mentioning the elected official's name. The staffers of Congressman keep an eye on the papers (I guess they use Google) and it has a bigger impact than an email or letter!

They may get 2 hours for this one, depends on the democrats I guess. If more members show up they will have more discussions/debates on the
issue."
