KLP That boggles my mind too. She isn't the first person in the USA to grow up with minimal means in small dwellings. Perhaps what we are seeing is that her whole pattern of thinking, her gestalt (that's a nice word), is built around the concept of people always having and needing social workers around them or becoming one. Even though people have more financial means they are still locked in the same mental patterns----the same gestalt. mj
