Sad but true the same old Israel is evil arguement is here. But as you posted about their persecution look at what God says:
Isaiah 40
1: Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
2: Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD's hand double for all her sins.
3: The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
4: Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
5: And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Tell Israel today the Good News that they are free from sin, free to love their God without the heavy weight of their sins through Yeshua Ha Mashiac.
Isaiah 41 (To Israel)
1: Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.
12: Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.
13: For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
It goes on and on, the promises of God for the future of Israel (the Jews).
