Where did you go in Europe where they take no credit cards?
That is not common, mostly they take bank cards.


I traveled through scandanavia about a year ago, and only the larger tourist hotels took credit cards. You could use a debit card, but not credit. You could not use traveler's checks except in the same tourist destinations that took credit cards. Cash was king once you spit it out of an ATM . In Germany they would take my Danish Kroner, but not my American bucks. Everyone took Euros.
