I guess you're a close friend of the Nixon family so you know all Nixon's private thoughts. No, but I have read both of the books that were written by Monica Crowley. She spent the last four years of Nixon's life working very closely with him and was privy to his most private thoughts on current and historical events. Actually, I have read at least twenty books on Nixon, including the three volumes that Stephen Ambrose wrote when he was still a serious historian. You need to read more. Nixon never forgot or forgave those who treated him poorly. Kerry fell into that camp. That is why McCain calls smearvets dishonest and dishonorable, because that's exactly what they are. That is a distortion and you know it. On the issue of the SwiftVets, McCain has always differentiated between their concerns about Kerry's medals and his post-Vietnam activities. McCain has repeatedly said that Kerry's post-war activity is fair game.
