What a tragedy. If only China hadn't intervened in the Korean War.

Meanwhile on another thread someone posted to me about the Korean War not being a "real war", because the US was not directly attacked. I disagree strongly with the idea that fighting for the south wasn't justified, but how can even people who hold that viewpoint consider a conflict that killed over thirty six thousand Americans, and caused millions of total casualties some sort of phony war? It boggles the mind.
