Cardinals Make Levi Brown the Richest Offensive Lineman in NFL History

By Dan Benton on LeviBrown

Filed under: AZ Cardinals, NFC West, Phoenix
It would be an understatement to suggest that the Arizona Cardinals expect big things out of their first-round pick, Levi Brown. In fact, it appears like they expect him to be the greatest offensive lineman in the history of the league.

So, where do I get off suggesting that? Well, I base that assumption on Brown's new six-year, $62 million contract -- a deal which is believed to be the richest for any offensive lineman ever.

"Levi is looking forward to joining the Cardinals coaches and players at practice tomorrow," Segal said. "The Cardinals stepped up and made this deal happen."

I would sure hope he looks forward to playing now that he's set for the rest of his life and beyond.

When Brown finally enters camp, he'll begin a battle with Oliver Ross for the starting job at right tackle. Gee, I wonder who's going to come out of that one on top. No one in their right mind would sit a 62 million dollar man on the bench.

I never want to hear anyone call the Bidwill's cheap again.
