Bush is a huge teflon-coated balloon. Watch Kerry puncture it sometime next year. Kerry dominated political news today, as much as any un-nominated opponent can in the Bush-Fox News-Rove era. The Bill O'Reilly type spin is that Kerry is risking too much to challenge the president's veracity. I say that's BS. Kerry is simply telling it like it is and the neocon media and the ones they intimidate are scared and challenged by such boldness.

This president has gotten by (and high) on a series of orchestrated whoppers and macho political stunts (including an entire war) that have wowed even his opponents. But as impressive as the BS is, and photos ops can be, it's still BS. Ovder the longterm, the truth wins out, but will it win out by November 2004?

It will take a combat veteran like Kerry who has charged into hails of bullets, to have the courage and mettle to stick the big needle of truth through the teflon coating and deflate Bush's pomposity. If and when that happens, Bush will be seen as an emperor with few clothes (but a lot of money and protective machinery). Then and only then can a battle royale ensue, to be decided once again by Floridian voters.
