G Barr:

First of all, Barr, you now respond to the merits of the complaint in the Federal action. Most pundits predicted, and I agreed, that their chance of prevailing on preliminary injunction were extremely remote. A Federal court, is not at this stage going to inject itself into the middle of a state proceeding. If you've read some articles you will learn that there is some early forum shopping going on right now. That's about it.

Second, and more to the point, you challenged that constitutions issues were not at play. It is indisputable that they are which ever side the ballot your candidate rests. That was my point. We're debating issues here. Each side holds merit. But the issues here are voting rights, equal protection, state vs. federal rights, etc. Its indisputable so quit pretending like you know something more than really do.

What's certainly not at issue is what YOU think. If you think the complaint is a joke, that's your opinion which matters zilch. You don't need to lecture me on the elements necessary to prevail on a motion to obtain a preliminary injunction. The move by the Republicans was more strategic and procedural than substantive. Of course you'll question the legal acumen of the Republican legal team. And of course you can guess what they'll think of your opinion on this issue.
